  • Larson, Marvin Ernest

    OBIT: Graduated from Safford (Arizona) High School in 1943. Attended the University of Arizona. Enrolled in the Navy and was sent to Notre Dame as part of the V12 program and graduated in 1946 with a degree in Naval Sciences. After marrying Phyllis Blake, he returned to the U of A and obtained a civil engineering degree. He started American Engineering where he served as president for 42 years. He and his wife had lived in Prescott for 17 years until health concerns caused them to moved to Tucson. Survivors included his wife, Phyllis; his brother Gene Robert (Joy) of Solomon, Arizona; Ray (Janet)of Buckeye, Arizona; his children, scott (Laura Lee) of Tucson, Jen Weipert of San Diego; daughter-in law Kay Lindgren of Mountain Green, Utah, Kay (Karen) of Riverview, Florida; Puara Bhuler (Reed) of Loveland, Colorado and burce (Louisa) of Grendale; 27 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Funeral services were in Prescott, 13 Ayg 2011. Burial was in the Simmons section of the Pioneer Home Cemetery in Prescott.
